I started working in India three years ago, staying in Kerala, Kolkata, North India (between Haridwar and Varanasi), and Tamil Nadu. It’s a country where everything which seems real is not, and everything that does not seem real is terrible. This is what I try to illustrate with my photographs. I try to reveal the mystery – between dream, nightmare and reality – of this country which seems to come from the middle age, and which nevertheless may dominate the world in the future.
