Biography:
Susan Trangmar is a visual artist who has been practising and exhibiting since the early 1980's. Originally trained as a sculptor at Saint Martins School of Art, her work employs photography, projection, video and sound in site specific time based and environmental installations.
Susan was Rome Scholar in Fine Art at the British School at Rome in 1996 and shortlisted for the European Photography Award in 1998. Since 2000 she has been Research Fellow in Fine Art at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design, University of the Arts London, and was Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Photographic Research, University of Wales at Newport in 2005.
