Mitra Tabrizian teaches at the University of Westminster, London where she is Professor of Photography. She has published and exhibited widely and in major international museums and galleries, including a solo show at Tate Britain. In 2004 Steild published, Beyond the Limits, a critique of corporate culture. She has received several photographic and film awards.
Mitra's work was included in Theatres of the Real, a survey exhibition and Photoworks book about contemporary British photographers, shown at the Fotomuseum Provincie in Antwerp in 2009.
