Lisa Barnard’s photographic practice is connected to both fine art and documentary genres. She has undertaken numerous photographic residencies, exhibiting across the UK and Europe.
Exhibitions include, Theatres of War (2007), curated by Mark Power for the Schindler Factory, Krakow, Poland; Virtual Iraq (2008), an investigation into the virtual reality programmes used by the US Army to train and rehabilitate soldiers, for the Brighton Photo Biennial Fringe 2008, and Bringing the War Home (present day) at Impressions Gallery, Bradford, (2010).
She receives regular photographic commissions, including portraiture, architecture, editorial and educational projects. She is visiting lecturer at the University of Brighton.
