Danny graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2002 and was awarded The Photographers' Gallery Graduate Award the same year. In 2003 he received the Jerwood Photography Award.
Treacy's work has been exhibited widely including a solo exhibition at The Photographers' Gallery in 2008. His work is included in The Self Portrait in Contemporary Art, published by Thames & Hudson, 2010 and Phaidon's Vitamin Ph, 2006.
His work featured on the front cover of the launch issue of Photoworks. His series Grey Area was included in the Photoworks exhibition A House in the Middle, curated by Gordon MacDonald. Them features in the Photoworks publication Theatres of the Real, 2009.
