Daniel Meadows

Daniel Meadows's career as a documentary photographer, oral historian and teacher spans four decades. As a photographer he is recognised as a prime mover in the new documentary movement of 1970's Britain. 

He lectures in photography and participatory media at the School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies, Cardiff University. From 2001-2006 he was Creative Director of the pioneering digital storytelling project Capture Wales. He was awarded a PhD in 2005.

His books include: Living Like this - Around Britain in the Seventies (Arrow, 1975); Nattering in Paradise - A Word from the Suburbs (Simon & Schuster, 1988); Set Pieces - Being About Film Stills Mostly (BFI, 1993); National Portraits - Photographs from the 1970's, edited by Val Williams (Viewpoint/Montage), 1997) and The Bus - The Free Photographic Omnibus 1973-2001 (The Harvill Press, 2001).
