Biography: Clare Strand studied at the University of Brighton and Royal College of Art in London (1998).
Strand’s work has been included in numerous group exhibitions since 1995, most notably How We Are at Tate Britain in 2007; Seeing Is Believing, The Photographers' Gallery, London, 2007; Between Times. Instants, intervals, durations, Teatro Fernan-Gomez Arts Center, Madrid as part of Photo Espana 2010.
A solo exhibition of Strand’s work entitled Clare Strand Fotographie Und Video was held at the Museum Folkwang, Essen, Germany in 2009 and a c co-published with Steidl was produced to coincide with the exhibition.
Strands work is held in notable collections including the V&A, London; The Arts Council Collection’ London, as well as many international and private collections.
Strand is represented by Brancolini Grimaldi where a solo show of her work was held in May 2011.
